What would Johannes Gutenberg think of the digitization of information? Maybe he'd be happy that more people than ever have access to essential texts and documents. But I like to think that if he were alive today, his printing press pride would turn him into a jealous, seething egomaniac who couldn't come to grips with being upstaged by the computer. Once he came to his senses, he would embark on a journey to invent the greatest printer man has ever seen, only to fail miserably upon realizing that society is totally over paper.
